In October of 2025 I spent an amazing nearly two weeks for my artist residency in this special place.   Just for the record, this land should never be touched and I am heartbroken by recent July 2026 actions to reduce the size of this place.   Just think of someone bulldozing the Sistine Chapel.  This attack is the same thing.

Anyway, my solo show "Landscape Holds Memory"  for this residency will be from November 13, 2026 to January 8, 2027 at the Sears Art Museum Eccles Foyer Gallery, in St George, Utah.    This collection has a special place in my heart and although most of the works are not yet complete, here are a few of the ones that I'm nearly done with.

Coming back to my western roots and the heritage of my youth, this grouping includes western scenes.  The Honky Tonk series emerged through my interest in how wildlife and the west are ever-present in our psyche, motifs and memories.   I am interested in connecting humanity with nature and this is one more avenue to explore that topic.  Several pieces are in the works for thiss, so more to come.

These artworks are part of the Migration Connections solo exhibition at the Crossroads Carnegie in Baker, Oregon, on exhibit March 4 - March 28, 2026.   50 Pieces of artwork were sent to this exhibition.

My tiny gems collection are pieces that make the perfect small gift for art lovers.  Each one comes custom framed in a sweet frame selected specifically for these works.   Typically they are 4x4, 3.5x4, 5x7 or 6x8.    Enjoy!!

Much of my conservation art has been focused on wildlife but recent residencies for public land advocacy is prompting additional landscape work.  Here are some examples of my landscape artwork, both abstract and representational.  Art is rotated frequently.

I am Artist in Residence (AiR) for 2026 for the Sagebrush Steppe Land Trust, headquartered in Pocatello, Idaho.   I will be spending 2026 and into 2027 working as an advocate for this land trust and championing their mission with my art.   I served as AiR for the Payette Land Trust from March 2023 - February 2024, and for the Land Trust of the Treasure Valley in 2020 and 2021.   I love supporting land trusts and advocating for conservation of fragile wildlife habitats and open spaces.

As one of 5 artists selected to celebrate the Centennial of the Craters of the Moon National Monument, I am creating a body of work from this more than year-long residency.  Some of this artwork will be on public exhibit at The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho from June 18 - July 27, 2024 in a small group Craters of the Moon exhibition.   Additionally, my solo show of art from the residency will be on exhibit at the Idaho State Archives from September 10th - December 31, 2024.  Please contact me if you are interested in additional available artwork.  

In April and May of 2023 I served an artist residency at the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, just north of Lovell, WY.   This amazing place stole my heart.    In 2024 I will be showing an exhibition of my work from the canyon at the visitor's center in Lovell, from May 23 - Sep 30, 2024.  Reception is May 23rd from 6-8pm, and art will be on exhibition unless it sells.   Sold art will be removed from the exhibition at time of sale.
