I hope that everyone is enjoying the run up to the holidays and savoring this magical season. As my family and I ponder the wonders of the holidays, I am reminded of several non-profit organizations that have given so much to myself and others and I would like to take the next couple of weeks to mention these wonderful organizations to my collectors.
Today I am highlighting all the amazing work of the Payette Land Trust.
As a conservation artist, wildlife and the geology and open spaces of Idaho has my heart, and so does the Payette Land Trust. They inspire me!!!!
The PLT has the mission of conserving the rural landscapes of West Central Idaho to benefit our communities, protect the scenic, agricultural, recreational, historic and wildlife character of the region. They have given so much to us. One of the things that they do is to help landowners and public lands to continue to protect open spaces and conserve the rural landscapes that define Idaho. Doing this provides a legacy to future generations of Idahoans. When your kids can still view and take part in the Idaho environment including agricultural land, timberlands, pristine rivers, streams, meadows and lakes you will give a huge thank you to land trusts in Idaho. .
And, one really can't imagine the amount of work and dedication needed to work towards land conservation, and for that I'm so thankful to all the hard work of the Payette Land Trust, and their staff of Craig Utter and Sonya Mapp, and the whole board of directors for the PLT.
It would mean so much to me if you were to reach out to the PLT and let them know how wonderful they are, thanking them for all that they do. They work tirelessly to keep open spaces, wildlife, ranches and rivers protected.
You can make their holiday season bright in several ways:
- You can drop them an email telling them "way to go" or "thank you" for all their hard work, at info@payettelandtrust.org.
- You can follow them on Instagram: @payette_land_trust
- You can join me at their super fun Sweetheart Party February 10, 6pm, at the Shore Lodge in McCall. See their website PLT Sweetheart Party for more information.
Thank you so much for loving my art and supporting the things in Idaho that inspire me. Continue having the best holiday season and once again thank you for loving art and artists!! You are my hero!
